And Now, for some 'Fun'ancial Crisis lessons!

The biggest housing and credit bubble in history....It is the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression...Oil prices are see-sawing.....Much of the rich world is already in recession........ Unemployment at record highs.....Consumer spending at record lows....Output is falling and economies shrinking in Britian, France, Germany, Japan, America..........

The Crisis, the panic, the rescues, you must have been hearing about it for quite some time now and it seems to be getting all the more tedious and stifling each passing day but the conundrum does not seem like it will be answered any time soon. Anyway, here's a video (in two parts) about the financial crisis that is, for a change, absolutely funny; nonetheless, it has all the facts about the causes of the crisis that one needs to know. It is a Comedy skit by the satirical team of John Bird and John Fortune.I generally recommend BBC's Robert Peston's Blog when I am asked for information on the financial crisis but I guess this video will be my new endorsement.  Have fun watching it! If you still want more information on the crisis you can always go to Robert Peston's Blog.

The Food Crisis explained! Can't get simpler than this....

I was looking for material to explain and correct the 'chain-mail guy's' (Refer to my previous post- The Hungry Planet!) take on the current World food crisis and came across this brilliant video. It's a video by the Japanese Ministry for Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries explaining the food crisis. Like all things made by the Japanese, this video too couldn't get any more 'leaner'- Succinct and to the point. The video also makes a suggestion to change our lifestyles to do our bit to end the food crisis.
